woocommerce 3.0 missing hook “woocommerce_ajax_calc_line_taxes”

The logic in that method is not required – it was a duplication of the logic in the ORDER tax calculation methods, which are now used instead.

There are hooks when an order is saved if you need to save additional information to orders when this happens.

Fabri what are you using it for. Why do you depend on it? There are other hooks in more logical places.

I was also using that hook to change the product taxes (depending on the customer asigned role) on orders created on the admin.

Where should we hook now to do something like that?

Both woocommerce_ajax_calc_line_taxes and woocommerce_ajax_after_calc_line_taxes were removed in this commit: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/commit/c88984eb0e7cf4e24fde92a7ea1ea9e9b3d8750c

The closest hook I could find is woocommerce_calc_tax when calculating tax for individual lines, but this isn’t ideal. For building plugins that communicate with a sales tax API, we need something like woocommerce_calculate_totals for backend orders.

I was able to get all the data I need with $order_id and the address info available in $_POST when the “Recalculate” button is clicked.
