Woocommerce 3.0

Experiencing a problem – checks out ok and payment goes through but after updating to 3.0 woo – the redirect to the website does not work and it shows:

We’re still wrapping up our 1.4.0 update for this plugin and we’ll have WC 3.0 compatibility all worked out. We’ll be releasing it very soon.

Still waiting for this update. Any eta?

Barring any unexpected issues it should be this week.

Yes, we’re aware of it and we’re working hard to get our 1.4.0 update released ASAP!

Hi, we are all still waiting on this update, I thought it would be a week – 2 weeks ago. Please could you be so kind to tell me how much longer this will take – it is quite an essential plugin for myself and I want to continue using this one

We are very close. It’s a big update, though, so it’s taking us a little while to fine-tune everything. We have to thoroughly test every gateway that is included with this plugin and keep fixing any bugs or adjustments that the 3.0 update requires. Our plan is to get it released over the weekend, but I cannot guarantee it. You could use PayPal Standard on 3.0 until you see our update released, or you could revert back to WC 2.6.14 and use our plugin until you see the update so that you can re-update both.

For future reference, you should always check plugin compatibility before updating a major plugin like WooCommerce, especially on a big update like 3.0. Also, it’s best to install/update everything on a separate staging copy of your site so that you can ensure everything works prior to updating your live site. It’s also a good practice to let major updates like WC 3.0 run for a month or two so that all of the small patch updates can be released to fix little bugs people find, and this gives time for 3rd party developers like us to get all caught up. I know that doesn’t help you now, but it would be recommended to follow that practice in the future.
