I am trying to setup WooCommerce on a fresh WP install on WPEngine. All product, cart, etc pages are 404 no matter what I try. Is this a WPEngine issue? I know they need to exclude the pages from caching, but would that cause them to be 404?

The pages only work with Common on Default and Product on Default. This is not an option. WooCommerce is the only plugin.

    Thanks…

  • On a non-WPEngine site, the first thing to try would be to reset permalinks at Dashboard / Settings / Permalinks. Just click “Save changes” should reset them. On an WPEngine setup, probably best to use their support service.

I’ve clicked Save Changes multiple times. No matter what I do, I am unable to get the product pages to resolve. Is it even a WPEngine issue or is the Woo product buggy?

WP Engine provide a hosted and controlled environment. Best to seek support from them. It looks like the cost of support is included in their plans.

Figured it out. I was including a taxonomy from another file with the same name in the functions.php file. Resolved.
