    Hi everyone,

    Please I desperatly need help. Ive been trying everything and cant seem to solve the 2 issues:

    1. when an order is placed in woocommerce, paypal is automatically set to onhold. How can I change that? Should I manually accept orders in paypal ( I use the paypal checkout)

    2. We are not receiving any confirmation email for a new order wether from a client point of view or the seller. I have tried to configure Sendgrid and still woocommerce is not sending any email. Can you please help?

    Please note i have already looked into wp logs and everything is working fine. So it is the server blocking but dont know what to do

    Let’s take a look at these issues for you. You mentioned the PayPal orders being set to “On Hold.” That’s the order status we would expect before payment has been made for the orders. It could be that PayPal is set to only authorize payments when the order is placed.

    To check that go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments and click on PayPal. Look for the spot and make sure it is set to capture.

    If it is set to authorize, that means that PayPal places a hold on the funds with the purchaser’s account, but doesn’t send the payment to you until the order is marked as processing. If you have any others like that, you’ll want to set them to processing to make sure you collect that money.

    For the order emails, try this. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Email and edit the new order email. Look in the additional content box and remove the arms raised emoji. Save your changes. See if you can now get new order notifications.
