woo theme portfolio template – how to migrate?

    this is a bit of a crazy request – but had been using a theme from Woo – “Simplicity” and built out a page using their included “portfolio” template. We are now using a new theme, but (of course) the old portfolio page doesn’t work with the new theme and the page is blank.

    Is there any way to recover that portfolio that was built out over several years using the Woo template or are we just SOL??

    Unfortunately, there is no easy way to integrate the Portfolio Page template from WooCommerce – Simplicity theme into your new theme.

    This would definitely require some custom coding. If you do require more help with the actual coding, we’d recommend you hire a developer who can take a look at this, quote you for their services, and help you add this feature to your site. We’d recommend getting in touch with a web developer or one of the customization experts listed at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Hi Gabriel,

    thank you for your reply – I was hoping there was something out there that made it easier – but where would the fun be with that? ??

    I’ll give it a go hacking together a template to pull in the old functionality – I guess the moral of the story is “always use plugins instead of in-built template functionality”.
