Woo/ShipStation – Orders Not Passing

    Hello,

    Scratching-our-heads with a WooCommerce-to-ShipStation integration problem and would greatly appreciate support. I’m relatively new to this, so the problem may be elementary (please do not hesitate to say so).

    On the SHIPSTATION SIDE we started with the following:

    An error occurred attempting to update orders: Invalid XML. Error: ‘The ‘META’ start tag on line 3 position 2 does not match the end tag of ‘html’. Line 7, position 10.’ We received: ‘<html> <head> <META NAME=”robots” CONTENT=”noindex,nofollow”> <script src=”/_Incapsula_Resource?SWJIYLWA=5074a744e2e3d891814e9a2dace20bd4,719d34d31c8e3a6e6fffd425f7e032f3″> </script> <body> </bo’

    After some clean-up, we now receive:

    An error occurred attempting to update orders: Invalid XML. Error: ‘The ‘meta’ start tag on line 1 position 185 does not match the end tag of ‘head’. Line 1, position 248.’ We received: ‘<html style=”height:100%”><head><META NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW”><meta name=”format-detection” content=”telephone=no”><meta name=”viewport” content=”initial-scale=1.0″><meta http-equiv=’

    On the WOOCOMMERCE SIDE, the logs reveal:

  • Hi @ned38! I understand you’re having some issues with the XML sent to ShipStation.

    Did ShipStation ever work on your site? If so, did this issue coincide with any site updates, such as plugin or theme updates?

    Also, can you post your system status report? You can find that by going to WooCommerce > Status in your site’s admin area (or https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-status&tab=status, replacing “yoursite.com” with your site’s actual URL), then clicking “Get system report,” then “Copy for support.”

    Still having problems, and would appreciate help.

    I deactivated the “Simple CSS JSS” plug-in.

    Still getting the following error message:

    Hey @ned38,

    Thanks for trying that. The error message appears to show the start of an HTML page code wise. It’s definitely not what we’d expect to see for an XML document.

    I had hoped that the Simple CSS/Js plugin was inserting code that caused this. Since that’s not it, we’ll need to broaden the search.

    Try temporarily disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and ShipStation. Then switch to the Twenty Twenty or Storefront themes. Try again and see if it works. If it does, that confirms that there is a conflict of some type on the site causing the problem.

    You can then switch back to your theme and check again. Then begin activating the themes, one by one, checking as you go. The last one activated before the problem starts back is likely the source of the trouble.

    Let us know how that goes and we’ll take it from there.
