    Hello, I have 2 questions:
Those are the emails that my client received, are they normal?

Thanks for your order. It’s on-hold until we confirm that payment has been received. In the meantime, here’s a reminder of what you ordered:
    and:
Just to let you know — we’ve received your order #1832, and it is now being processed:

I am not sure which one was the first, it seems that they have arrived to the client at the same time. So is this a real conformation that everything is alright for the customer? It doesn’t say something like “Your payment is confirmed and we will soon ship your item”? P.S. I, as a seller, have received a notification at this point telling me that the customer has paid.

The other thing is that I have received 2 identical emails confirming that I have a new order – “You’ve received the following order from …
I am using only PayPal (standard) I have used 3 different emails. Email 1 – used for PayPal registration; Email 2 -used in woocommerce(new Ord., Canceled Ord., Failed Order).Email 3 – the email from which the client receives messages after purchase. I received the 2 ident. meils on Email 2.
Under notes for the order is the following:
    PDT payment completed

Validation error: PayPal IPN response from a different email address (Email 1). Order status changed from Pending payment to On hold.

Order status changed from Pending payment to Processing.

    Hi there,

It looks like customers are being sent a Hold Order email and then the Processing Email afterwards. The validation error you included points to an IPN issue.

Please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > PayPal Standard and make sure the email address showing in the ‘PayPal email’ field is the Primary email address on your PayPal account.

It also seems you’ve got PDT enabled in your PayPal settings. You should use either IPN or PDT, but not both. To disable PDT, please make sure the PayPal Identity Token field is blank.

If the above isn’t helpful, please work through the following: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-standard/#section-22

    Hello,

so the email in the ‘PayPal email’ field was correct, and in the woocommerce settings I have also provided “PayPal identity token” and under “Reciever email” I have added Email 2 – the mail not used in Paypal, because I wanted to get notification from woo on this email ,and not on the primary PayPal address. On the same email (not PayPal primary) I choose to receive the following notifications -New Order, Canceled Ord., Failed Order) Is this a mistake?

SO I am only supposed to give the email in the ‘PayPal email’ field and this will be enough to make the connection?

    Hi there,

If the receiver email for your PayPal account is different from the email address of your Primary, PayPal business account, you can use that in the ‘Receive email’ setting. If you enter your primary email address into the ‘PayPal email’ setting only, it will also show in the Receive email address field unless you choose to use a different Receive email.

It’s not recommended to use the PDT (PayPal Data Transfer) method if you’re using the IPN (Instant Payment Notifications) method. Please remove the contents of the ‘PayPal Identity token’ field and test using only IPN.

With regards to the WooCommerce emails in WooCommerce > Settings > Emails, for the New Order, Cancelled Order, Failed order, etc., you can choose to send these to any email address you wish. They’re not dependent on your PayPal email addresses.

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Kind regards,
