    Hello:

I’m trying to set up a eCommerce website for someone else. He is using the www.remarpro.com (not .com) platform. After install of the Woo Commerce plugin and going through the settings options I hit snag on the Woo Payments options. The error message reads:

There was a problem connecting this site to WordPress.com: “The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://texflexproducts.com [HTTP 503]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.com/support/”

When neither WordPress.com or Jetpack is being used so the error message is understood. What is the work around for the www.remarpro.com platform and setting up Woo Commerce Payments?

Thank you in advance for your assist.

    Hello again:

Sorry to have bothered you with this. After several days of research, all of which could have been averted if I had just talked to the person, for which I am developing the website, sooner. I’ve been informed Woo Payments, that comes with Woo Commerce will not be used.

However, while in 2016, “WooCommerce can only be used on self-hosted www.remarpro.com sites at present … ” that doesn’t seem to be the case today. If I am wrong, do feel free to correct me.

Thanks and have a great day.

    Hey, @docktor1961!

It is possible to use WooCommerce on both WordPress.com and www.remarpro.com websites.

Regarding the error message, WooPayments requires a connection to a WordPress.com account to accept payments from buyers and to show sellers details about transactions, deposits, and disputes. This is regardless of the website being hosted at WordPress.com or otherwise.

We would be more than happy to help you figure out the issue and connect WooPayments, but from what I understood, your client will not be using it anymore, correct?

If you/your client change their minds, please open a thread on WooPayments forum, so we can assist you in solving this issue.

    Have a wonderful day!
