    Hi there,

Sorry about the hassle. Let’s try and get this fixed. The error message on your site says: https://d.pr/i/QXKMHu

This points to an incomplete installation. You can try a manual installation by using FTP and uploading the files manually, replacing all that are currently installed.

Here is a quick guide for you: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/installation-2/#section-3 – hope that helps a bit!

    Kind regards,

No it went wrong before this and wrecked the site – so I tried rename the files to disable the plug in but it hasn’t disabled it and I still cannot access my site or dashboard

    Hi again,

No it went wrong before this and wrecked the site –

    I see, ok.

so I tried rename the files to disable the plug in but it hasn’t disabled it and I still cannot access my site or dashboard

You need to rename the WooCommerce plugin folder i.e. woocommerce >> woocommerce_no.
    This will deactivate it.

there are two main woo commerce plug ins – so I rename each one with one of these names?

    (@theappwhisperer)

so, I did what you said above and it didn’t work at all
this is what your plugin does – I’d advise anyone to avoid using it

The reference to /var/www/wp-content/mu-plugins/gd-system-plugin/ points to an issue with your GoDaddy hosting – this isn’t a standard WordPress/WooCommerce install.

yes it was, it was downloaded from the plugins section of WordPress

But the error is coming from GoDaddy specific features – have you contacted their support?

nope because it’s nothing to do with it

Fair enough – even though the error message specifically says it it, I’m sure you’re right.. Good luck!

    Thread Starter theappwhisperer

    (@theappwhisperer)

well my site has gone now, this plugin destroyed it, so that’s the end of that

    Thread Starter theappwhisperer

    (@theappwhisperer)

hi, it’s awful isn’t it? I’m sorry you’re dealing with this too, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Did you rename your woo commerce plugins? There are two main ones and then lots of sub directories, or did you rename all of the sub directories too?

I can get onto the database of the site and could ‘drop’ the woo commerce files – except I have no idea of the definition of ‘drop’ – if that means ‘delete’ and also what affect it will have on my site thereafter.

With regards the chap who commented about GoDaddy, I have no idea, I do not have a GoDaddy account so I don’t know, I’m sorry…

    Thread Starter theappwhisperer

    (@theappwhisperer)

I have ActNow Domains, for the DNS but why would this be related firstly to GoDaddy and secondly, to the Woocommerce plugins?

In my FTP folder, I deleted the woocommerce plugin however, I’m still getting an error. GoDaddy has told me that I need to hire a developer to assist with things like this and if I want my site back up, I need to request a help ticket and wait up to a week for this to be resolved. Oh, and I have to pay $100. When I told the rep about this chat convo, they said that their woocommerce works the same and they just assist with hosting and security… soo frustrating.

I was told that I can try to fix it by accessing my PHPAdmin however, that is way above understanding.

    Thread Starter theappwhisperer

    (@theappwhisperer)

oh gosh, isn’t it annoying? I’m a novice like you but I do know that the PHPAdmin that they referred to is your database. It’s possible to see the woo commerce files within that – I can see mine – but it says to ‘drop’ them – I have no idea if this means delete and the consequences for the website thereafter, so am too scared to press it.
