won't trash posts or comments!

  • Hey,
    Really really frustrated, been trying to figure out what is going on for WEEKS now. There is very little support in the forums on this topic.

    My posts will not delete. There are thousands of comments I cannot get to delete or to be moved to the trash. I try the bulk action, it says they moved, but nothing on the list changes. I go to the individual post pages and press “move to trash” it says it does, but there it is sitting the list still…

    I tried deactivating the plugins and removing all plugins I can – as per the first suggestion on the only other post on this forum in correlation to “wont trash”.

    I am very WordPress “dumb”. So the other suggestions on that support post, I could not even begin to figure out.

    I really would be open to completely stripping and restarting my whole site. I am running it from my own website host, so I dont know if that’s the issue. I am very programming lacking… I’m trying to learn but when I run into these seemingly easy issues that make no sense… I feel useless and when there is as little support as there is on this topic… well… I just want my site to be wiped clean so I can start using it.

    I am having the same problem. Try to move a blog post to the trash and it won’t go – says at the top “1 post moved to the Trash. Undo” …but it is still there. So weird.

    I should say, my posts are on a page (made into a “posts page”)

    Any luck with this MissXammie?
