Won’t let me skip the sharing of data

    WP Featured Content and Slider won’t let me skip the sharing of “non-sensitive data” to?essentialplugin.com. It says it’s okay to skip, but when you press the Skip button, nothing happens. I can’t try out the plugin, because it won’t let me past this point. Please advise.

    Okay, this turned out to be a CMS issue, as it wants to submit data to wponlinesupport.com, even though it’s supposed to be letting me opt out of doing that! And then it takes me to some slutty website (https://analytics.wponlinesupport.com/) which is totally different that just plain wponlinesupport.com, and triggers a warning from Malwarebytes. What the heck is going on? Has your site been hacked?

    Okay, glad I could be of some assistance. One thing, though, if we’re opting out of sharing, why does that link to https://analytics.wponlinesupport.com? That seems antithetical to my choice. You could keep track of my opt-out choice in the local db.
