• Hey guys,
I’m up and running okay at genealogy-facts.com/blog/
but for the life of me I can’t figure out why it won’t let me
create my feeds/code so I can run it through Feedburner
    and such.
When I click on the “RSS 2.0” link and the links under the “Meta”
section I have no luck–it goes to a blank page.
Where am I going wrong? I’ve come a long way and almost
    have it licked.
    Thanks!

  • For some reason, I’m getting an error that says that the page isn’t there… Maybe the file doesn’t exist perhaps?

It still 404s. Make sure that you applied to code correctly to the .htaccess file. Here’s a few other forum topics for you.

Looks like a problem with permalinks. These direct links work:

    Thanks for the feedback guys.
Here’s what I did to end the nightmare.
Maybe it will help some of you solve the problem. It’s bound to come up.
I installed WordPress in my public_html folder. That’s where the .htaccess file was.
I kept seeing mention of the .htaccess file being moved to the folder where the blog actully was in the WP support forums.
BTW, my .htaccess file was a blank sheet of paper. For some reason, nothing was there. I finally got it through my brain that the text from the bottom of the permalink stucture area was supposed to be there. So, I copy and pasted that code into the .htaccess file. Of course I had to rename the file htaccess and rename in .htaccess once it was back on the server.
Anyway, when I move the newly changed .htaccess file to my folder (called “blog”) low and behold, the feed started showing up.
    Good luck!
