• I’m using the plugin with a client’s site that has a large number of Instagram posts with no text. I had the Custom Title Text field set to %%title%% and I found that the plugin only imported the very few images from the client’s Instagram that did have text; the rest were skipped.

I changed Custom Title Text to %%title%% —?from Instagram (matching the example text on the configuration page), and then it imported everything.

This means the Default Title Text field does not appear to be working. Those posts with no text just didn’t get imported; they didn’t get imported with the default title text.

I am wondering if this is due to recent changes I’ve observed in WordPress core with how it handles saving new posts that don’t have a title. It used to let you publish them, but I don’t think it does anymore. (I could possibly test this by changing the plugin’s settings to have the imported posts have “draft” status instead of “publish” but I haven’t done that yet.)

    Hey @room34,

Could you please try to turn on the ‘Check this to bypass the is_home() check when the plugin auto posts.’ setting and visit your site a couple of times.

If that doesn’t work check ‘Enable Debug Mode’ and then send the debug file via https://intagrate.io/contact/

I’ll be glad to further assist you with this if necessary.

@mkesteban08 That setting is already turned on. I’m quite certain the issue has to do with whether or not there is text in the Instagram post, from testing the various possibilities. The client’s Instagram feed had about a dozen posts, of which the 3rd oldest and 2nd newest were the only ones with any caption text. The only way I could get the plugin to import any posts besides those two was to make sure that there would always be something in the post title.

It’s possible the issue has to do with some custom code in my theme; I didn’t test against a stock theme. But I don’t think I’ve done anything that would cause a post to fail to save if the title is blank.
