I was having trouble with this plugin (the setting screen was blank when I clicked on it), so I deleted and reinstalled it. However, when I try to activate it now, I get this error message:

DreamObjects Backups cannot be activated as it requires PHP version 7.0 or greater.

The problem is that my site IS on PHP 7.0. I have other sites also on PHP 7.0 and the plugin is working correctly (e.g., poopoffice.com).

If I try to click on the setting screen anyway, I get this error: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

Not sure what the issue is here.

    Thanks!

It’s most likely that there’s something that’s telling WP you’re NOT on 7.0 then, though the logic is pretty simple. Are you POSITIVE this is on PHP 7.0?

Well, you’re right. Despite my hosting provider telling me I was running 7.0, I used a plugin to check what my site was running and it was 5.6! I forced a PHP upgrade through my host again and this time it worked.

    Sorry about that!
