  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

    – Check with default theme to ruled out theme level issue
    – Disable all the plugins
    – upgrade your wordpres to the latest version. If it is upgraded then reinstall wp-admin and wp-includes folders with all the files.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

checked with defualt theme, still same problem.

    Diasbled all plugin too.

Regarding the 3rd point I dont know how to do it, since Im hosted with WP and its a auto setup there.

    Thanks!

And if you load any page other then the main dashboard page, does it work?

    For example: yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php

    Does that work?

Might just be something on the dashboard at fault if it’s just that page.

Further comment: Whoever advised you to upgrade to fix the initial problem gave you bad advice, imo… you ideally should of investigated the original problem before upgrading WP.. i’d imagine the current problem is still related to the first, initial problem.

I had the exact same problem.

Do you run Thesis? I am. Don’t know if that had anything to do with it. I also unplugged all my plugins. I was tearing my hair out.

Here’s how I got it solved. I had upgraded (I thought!) to WordPress 2.9.1 automatically using the dashboard… but when I logged into GoDaddy and got to the Hosting Connection screen, to my surprise, it still said I was running 2.8 and did I want to upgrade to 2.9.1.

Bingo. My dashboard said I was running 2.9.1 but my host said I was still on 2.8. After I upgraded from the GoDaddy Hosting Connection interface (it takes a few minutes to actually go thru) it fixed itself.

    Maybe that will help.

exist2009, it’s been hacked. The refresh is trying to redirect to another site. Take a look at the bottom of your code and you’ll see an extra obfuscated iframe that’s been inserted and trying to pull in code from another site.

    Get started with these…

I am having a similar problem with my dashboard looking like the original image posted. I had this happen a few weeks ago and followed CMcBrown’s suggestion and everything cleared up. Then I had feed issues and ended up re-installing WP. That was last week. Now my dashboard is acting up again. I contacted GoDaddy and they said it is not them, but most likely a WP issue and they cannot help me. I deleted my .htaccess file and it is back, but nothing has changed. I have not done anything in the past week that would make this continue to happen. I can say everything started acting up once I installed Headway [which I don’t believe it’s the theme’s fault]. I am getting a bit frustrated with this. There is no junk code [that I see] interfering with my feed or anything else. Any thoughts?

ps. I have another site running WP through another hosting company and it has no issues whatsoever.
