Woke Up to All Plugins Deactivated

  • Hey, so the issue is resolved now, but I was wondering if anyone can explain how this could happen.
    I woke up today and saw that all my plugins (including ones i heavily rely on) were deactivated except for Askimet. Askimet though had also popped up with this alert: “Akismet has detected a problem. A server or network problem is preventing Akismet from working correctly.”

    Askimet settings said:

    Unable to reach any Akismet servers.

    A network problem or firewall is blocking all connections from your web server to Akismet.com. Akismet cannot work correctly until this is fixed. Please contact your web host or firewall administrator and give them this information about Akismet and firewalls.

    It also said that all askimet servers were obstructed.

    Anyhow, the issue is all resolved now, including askimet thoroughly working again, but is there a chance askimet deactivated all the plugins? I have no idea how else that could have happened.
