Wodpress login page is gone

  • Hi everyone,
    I am new at wordpress and need your help. I had a website on my localhost and used Xampp. Everything was fine until I started to move my website to the server. I used one tutorial video step by step. But somewhere I can assume I made something wrong and now I cannot get to WordPress Dashboard. Not that I am unable to login, but when I type localhosr/wordpress/wp-admin I get “Error establishing a database connection”. Before I made a copy of my website using Duplicator which zipped the website files and created the .sql file. But I am having troubles with moving it to the server too. Is there any chance I can get WordPress Dashboard running without re-installing the local wordpress totally? And if I have to, would it be possible to get my site back without writing it from scratch again? I am sorry for inconvenience, I spent 4 days trying to figure it out and I stuck. Please help

  • If you have a backup package created with duplicator then upload it on the server and install in on your domain.

    if you are having issues while installing package with duplicator let me know what error its showing up, I have used duplicator on several instances succesfully perhaps I can help you out.

    Regarding the “Error Establishing Database…” error its generally happens when the server is down in your case the local Xammp server. Try restarting the server.

    With Duplicator I have the same error message when I try to access my website https://www.mywebsite.com Thank you very much for advice I will try that. But If I reinstall Xampp will my wordpress (if I will be able to log in) have my website or it will be empty? thanks again.

    If you uninstall and re-install Xampp then your website will be empty, the uninstallation process will delete your website files.

    I strongly suggest that you read this article and also read the comments in the comments section, there are many solutions here given by the blogger as well as by commentators perhaps one of it will be helpful to you.
