    Hi,

on four different websites, I have to deactivate W3TC, cause there seems to be a conflict with the last WordPress 6.7.x update. If W3TC is active, I get an white screen of death, after deactivating the plugin all okay.

Is there e.g. some known conflict with the lazy loading feature?

    bye
    Stefano

    Hello @spicone

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help!
In order to determine which option may be causing this, and it’s most likely cache conflict after the update, can you please disable the settings one by one in Performance>general settings, save the settings, and purge the cache after each setting is disabled and see which one might be causing the issue?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

tested on first website, after deactivating database cache, it works!
On the second website, the same!
And finally on a third website, same situation!

Deactivating database cache, seems to be the workaround yet ??

    bye

    Hello @spicone

    Thank you for your feedback.
Just to confirm, was the DB Caching enabled using Disk based caching?
    Thanks!

    Hi @vmarko

Yes, it was – set by the setup wizard as best setting.

    Hello @spicone

    Thank you for your feedback.
Just for a testing purposes, can you please manually delete the /cache/db/ folder and the db.php drop-in in wp-content folder, and try to re-enable DB caching after this, save all settings and purge the cache and let me know if the problem still persists

    Thanks!

    Hello @spicone

Thank you for your feedback. Do you have the ability to use any memory-based caching like Redis or Memcached and if so I would recommend using Object Caching instead.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

until the last update there were never any problems and I don’t want to change the complete caching method, because with object cache there were problems with a tech. file limit with prodivder last time.

Checked the last W3TC update, but still the same problem.

I wonder about the new notice at the database cache option:
This setting can potentially create a large number of files. Please be aware of any inode or disk space limits you may have on your hosting account.

Got this problem only with object cache!

I installed the latest update 2.8.2, but still the same problem on all three websites.

With deactivated database cache, all fine.

Don’t know what to check now.
