wocommerce loss of connection from eway after payment

Hi I’m using Woocommerce 2.0.12 and some customers have been having some problems when they pay via eWAy in that the payment is not registered back into the shopping cart system and it gets registered as a cancelled order, but when I go into eway I find the payment has been made OK. I thought maybe the customer was taking too long to make the payment and it was timing out, but this is not the case (Payment and order within a couple of minutes in the date stamps) and one customer told me that after made she made the payment she got a blank screen and did not receive the order confirmation although the payment went through OK.
This is a frustrating problem as I now need to check up on all “cancelled” orders to see if payment may have been made. Can anyone help please?
