    I need to move the blog from the referenced site from WIX to WordPress. What is the best way to do this to ensure preservation of the SEO history? This is a well seasoned blog. I need to propose a plan to my client. Thank you.

    We are not familiar with Wix or website migrations. As a courtesy we can only say that if Wix stores the SEO data in a database AND that database is compatible with WordPress you would need to ensure the database is correctly migrated to the new WordPress site.

    In order to move your blog from Wix without SEO rankings lost, you should do that manually, just follow this transfer guide to cope with. Blog posts made in Wix come with ulr like /post/post-title. So you have to make the same URLs for the new WordPress blog. Also do not forget to transfer metatags and enable rich snippets if needed.
