Too bad. V2.0 doesn’t work at all. If only because an account has to be created with WPMU DEV and the website cannot be registered. The URL is supposedly wrong or the homepage is not online!?!
And I will certainly not give my WordPress access data to a company that I do not know.

I also have concerns that the data protection regulation is being violated here (GDPR/DSVGO). So I’ll look around for another plugin. At the latest when BLC only works via WPMU DEV.

    Hi @rpfaffenbach

I hope you are doing well today.

During the connection of your site to WPMU DEV there is a note:

We don’t store your login information, so it’s 100% safe and secure.

Also, you can use the WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin and install it manually while connecting your site to Free HUB.

Note, you don’t need to have the WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin and connection to HUB to still use the old engine/old version of the plugin. After the recent update, you can use/switch to the old version which is still a part of the core of Broken Link Checker.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

No thank you. The way it’s handled now, that’s absolutely not an option for me. And I don’t believe the assurances that no data will be saved. For me, the plugin in this form is just useless ballast. It’s a shame that you can screw up a plugin that has been so good so far.
