With Plugin enabled I can not login to dashboard
-
I downloaded and installed the latest version of the Fast Secure Contact Form (Version 4.0.18), put together a quick form, and tested it. Everything worked great – I received my test email for a contact, the form and captcha worked.
But I was unable to login to my admin dashboard the next day. I got the following error: “ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.” Browser setting were fine.
I renamed/moved my plugins directory and was able to log in, re-named the plugins directory back to its appropriate name and disabled all plugins through the dashboard. Through the process of elimination I discovered that it was only the SI-contact-form that was the culprit.
Through further investigation this is what I now know:
If I disable the PHP Session option on the Advance tab I can log in to the dashboard but the form does not work (the captcha is incorrect and must be re-entered..) PHP Session enable, everything works but I can not log in.
I am using the Travelify theme. I switched themes (to Twenty Fourteen) and I COULD log in to the dashboard. Switch back to Travelify and I could not.
I found no specific debugging info to help me. This is my first attempt to host a WordPress Site so I am new to WordPress. I am hosting on an Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Server, and I have the site root permissions locked down (directory 755 and files 644) Ownership of mosts files and folders belong to a none-admin user and everything belongs to the apache user’s group.Sorry if this is too much info, but I am trying to lay out all the facts. Any help would be appreciated. I like the plugin and would like to give it a fair shot.
-Thanks
