With Forms you will: loose page speed, get spam

    I wanted to use WP Forms to set up user submitted posts forms and therefore I bought the basic plan (50 $). During registration on their page I carefully omitted ticking a “receive E-mail updates” option.

    The first thing after paying was: receiving Spam-Mails. Every day. Even after I told them pretty clearly to stop this, they kept sending Spam. Did I pay to get Spam?

    Then I tried to set up the user submitted posts forms and realized: I would have to buy the Pro-version for 200 bucks. WTF! Instead I gave USP Pro a try. This is much cheaper, does what it should but is less intuitive.

    In the end the only remaining WP Forms-form on my site was a very simple contact-form. As I checked the page speed of my site I noticed that WP Forms slowed it down by one second! That was the moment I immediately deleted that shit. Burnt 50 bucks and a lot of time …

    Think twice if you actually need this plugin and make sure there is no alternative! And if you try it, do it within the 14-days period to get your money back if it doesn’t work out for you. Good luck!

    We are sorry that our Lite and Basic version don’t seem to fit your needs for now.

    As you are aware, we have many different license levels which include different addons, such as our Post Submission Addon, which is included in our Pro version. However, the Pro license has a plethora of features that justify the pricing of the license level. That being said, I’ll make sure to share your feedback with the team.

    In terms of speed performance, using a WPForms form on a page will make the server load the necessary assets, and that will happen with any plugin you use. However, we didn’t receive any reports about atypical page speed or website performance issues caused by our plugin. We’d be more than happy to take a closer look if needed.
