Several months ago I unistalled Fast Secure Contact Form, because I started using the Jetpack contact form. Sometimes, I get lots of errors that blocks my website, appearing 500 errors.

Checking out the error.log file from my web, I find this:

    [Tue Feb 16 18:13:58 2016] [warn] [client IP………..] mod_fcgid: can’t apply process slot for /var/www/cgi-bin/cgi_wrapper/cgi_wrapper, referer: https://www.google.es/

    [Tue Feb 16 18:14:05 2016] [warn] [client IP………..] mod_fcgid: can’t apply process slot for /var/www/cgi-bin/cgi_wrapper/cgi_wrapper, referer: https://www.google.es/

    [Tue Feb 16 18:14:06 2016] [warn] [client IP………..] mod_fcgid: can’t apply process slot for /var/www/cgi-bin/cgi_wrapper/cgi_wrapper
    [Tue Feb 16 18:14:08 2016] [warn] [client IP………..] mod_fcgid: can’t apply process slot for /var/www/cgi-bin/cgi_wrapper/cgi_wrapper, referer: https://www.google.com
    [Tue Feb 16 18:14:14 2016] [warn] [client IP………..] mod_fcgid: can’t apply process slot for /var/www/cgi-bin/cgi_wrapper/cgi_wrapper

Checking the access.log, I found thousands and thousands of accesses calling the file securimage_show.php all the time, in the directory of Fast Secure Contact Form, that does not exist on my server. For example:

    66.249.66.132 – – [16/Feb/2016:18:15:31 +0100] “GET /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php?ctf_sm_captcha=1&prefix=OPlmrCgVHpEMybIG HTTP/1.0” 404 19500 “-” “Googlebot-Image/1.0”
    66.249.66.132 – – [16/Feb/2016:18:15:33 +0100] “GET /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php?ctf_sm_captcha=1&prefix=EWrsolzH5zcHRQEZ HTTP/1.0” 404 19556 “-” “Googlebot-Image/1.0”

By chance, I saw that the version 4.0.41 of Fast Secure Contact Form talks about an error related (Fix: PHP Fatal error: Class ‘securimage_ctf’ not found). If I install the plugin again, and then uninstall, my problem be solved? (I’ll try it now) Why Google is constantly looking for a file that does not exist on my server? Thanks!!!

  • Hi, have you tested the new version yet?

If those files are no longer in your server then Google will not comment about those files. Also bare in mind that it can take a bit of time for Google search engine to clear the cache globally.

In regards to Google searching for a file that is not in your server that is something that you will have to ask your server administrators.

    Hi! Thanks for reply ??

Yes, last night I installed again FSCF, the last version, of course. I constantly checked access.log and continued finding requests to si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php. I uninstalled after a few hours and used the and used the Remove URLs Tool of the Google Webmaster Tools, and now still appearing the same requests. For example:

    66.249.66.132 – – [17/Feb/2016:13:42:47 +0100] “GET /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php?ctf_sm_captcha=1&prefix=7Lhu6NtTl3PIIx7o HTTP/1.0” 404 19637 “-” “Googlebot-Image/1.0”

    40.77.167.41 – – [17/Feb/2016:14:49:09 +0100] “GET /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php?ctf_sm_captcha=1&prefix=s5meMlVM3zo2xQZG HTTP/1.0” 404 19675 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; bingbot/2.0; +https://www.bing.com/bingbot.htm)”

I reviewed when it was uninstalled FSCF was approximately October-November 2015 ??

Have you reported this to your host? It is very strange your issue.

Today I installed a plugin to create 301 redirections. On the Error 404 page, I found

    /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php?ctf_sm_captcha=1&prefix=sixN2tZNDaMtaWqe
    /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php?ctf_sm_captcha=1&prefix=uQTInKBbVv7OuT7o
    /wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/captcha/securimage_show.php?ctf_sm_captcha=1&prefix=tfrBmZZe0GaAREug

Thousands of lines like this, every few second. The plugin does not exist in my installation. Its folders do not exist on my server. The sitemap does not register any image file of the plugin. I do not know what to do ??

Do you have any cache plugin set up? Are you using CDN?

    Thread Starter Alias79

    (@alias79)

I use W3 Total Cache with MAXCDN, but at the time I checked the settings to see if the problem was related with cache or CDN. In the cached CDN files there is no references to “securimage_show.php”, or any file of the Fast Secure Contact Form plugin

How long ago did you delete or remove this plugin? Because Google can take a bit of time to clear their own cache globally.

I thought had uninstalled 6 months ago or so, but just now checked; in June-July it was no longer installed. It’s truly strange ??

    (@mbrsolution)

Yes it is very strange. Have you tried to contact your host about this? Maybe those files are somewhere? Also if you are using Google Webmasters tools, you can delete these entries.

You can mark this support thread as resolved because this issue is not related to the plugin.

    Thank you

I have full control of all the files in the server, and nowhere these files appear. I have also tried to delete this files from Google’s index, from the webmaster tools, and even deny it in my robots.txt unsuccessfully.

I will mark this topic as solved, but it is not solved…
