With 4.0 upgrade, timeline group list and event list no longer work

The timeline admin interface worked fine prior to upgrading to the latest 4.0 version. But after I upgraded to 4.0, the “Group List” and “Event List” no longer display any items. They just list page numbers that link to nothing. The timeline itself still shows up properly on the wordpress website. This problem occurred on when I was on WordPress 3.9.2 and stayed the same on WordPress 4.0 so I don’t think it is caused by WordPress upgrade.
The screen looks like this when I do “GroupList” in the admin interface:

The “Event List” also looks like that.
