• Wishlist was working perfectly a week or two ago. Now, all of a sudden, the “Add to wishlist” button doesn’t add to the wishlist.

    You can see the little animation on the header wishlist icon bounce when you add a product to the wishlist, but the number does not go up and the wishlist remains empty. I don’t see any errors either when it happens, so I’ve been unable to pinpoint a problem.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    we hope you’re doing well!

    Does this happen to you with logged in and not logged in users? Or with one of them? If it is with those not logged in, could you verify if the problem is solved by activating AJAX loading in our plugin? Also in this case you can try to temporarily disable your cache plugin.

    Also, if you don’t have our plugin updated, try to update it and check if the problem goes away.

    It has happened to me when logged in and when logged out, also when using an incognito window.

    I had AJAX on and off, didn’t seem to affect it.

    We did just toggle WP Rocket the other day, but the issue was occurring before we had it enabled. Before that we had whatever default caching WordPress’s settings offer, and this was what was active when the Wishlist worked.

    Plugin is on version 3.21.0.

    Hello there

    I checked my installation and the plugin works correctly for me, so I recommend you perform the following tests to see if the problem disappears in any step:

    • switch to a default WordPress theme like 2023.
    • Leave only WooCommerce and our plugin active.
    • if the problem disappears, activate your plugins in batches until you find the one that generates the conflict.

    If you don’t want to run these tests on your live site, you can easily create a test site using the free WP Staging plugin.

    I logged onto the site this morning and noticed the Wishlist was working correctly?

    I suppose this would logically be related to the cache plugin if it suddenly started working again? We don’t have auto-updates on.

    That is strange since, in the case of registered users, we do not use cookies to store your data. However, you can add the following cache exclusions:

    • [ add the url of the page wishlist ]
    • [ add the url of the page wishlist ]/* (for all wishlist page endpoints)
    • add?yith_wcwl_session_*?cookies
