I am trying out the plugin to provide a ‘Wishlist’ when viewing artworks on a new design website. I selected this plugin as I have utilised the ‘Post Tag’ criteria to only apply the wishlist, this works perfectly.

I have one Post Tag set = 4Sale, thus only those items will have a ‘wishlist’applied, yes working. My problem is the wishlist only works when “Logged In” to the website….WHY?

I do not have Woocommerce installed, the website is a ‘blog style’ it will not be a shopping site. I wanted the ‘Wishlist’ to aid potential art buyers in saving the work they may have an interest in buying. Then copying the wishlist and sending to the artist (website owner). Unfortunately I have not found and plugin documentation to help.

Any ideas on what I have done wrong?
    Thanks Dennis

Hi Raju, Yes re-installed and sorry NO it hasn’t worked fully.
Yes a website guest can add a ‘heart’ to a favourite item. I made 2 items a favourite; Out of Hibernation & Anyone for a Dip. However, when I then access the default Wishlist via Main Nav Menu, it replies “you must be logged in to view Wishlist”.
I then logged in to WP Admin/Dashboard, selected view Wishlist and it says “Sorry! No item found”.
I have left the website setup: https://djg4friends.com/val/
    Your Plugin Settings are:
    1. Default Wishlist
    2. Posts type display: Posts = yes
    3. Taxonomies & terms display: Categories = Yes
    4. My Wishlist page: = My Wishlist
    ————————————————————
Raju, I know I’m trying to do what your plugin wasn’t initially design to do!! However, I’m sure if you can modify it to work, then the plugin use will massively expand.
My GOAL: The client does not want or need ECommerce Shopping website. Purely show artworks ‘for sale’ and have potential website guests enquire on only those ‘For Sale’ items.
    A. Need your Wishlist to be capable of ‘selective post category’ operation.
    B. I want the Wishlist to only appear on WordPress Posts/Category = For Sale
    C. The website guest can save ‘for sale’ items to their own Wishlist.
    D. Once the website guest has completed their Wishlist, they can ‘auto send’ the Wishlist content via an Email Enquiry to the Artist.
That way the potential customer and Artist can then negotiate the Sale of Artwork, work out costs/shipping and all without the need for E-Commerce.
    ——————————————————
Thus if the above is possible, the small business website holder can operate a boutique website without the need to have any ‘shopping cart’ nor involve themselves in major development/operational website costs….they are essentially just hobbyists!

Hi, I can see you put the wrong URL on the My Wishlist link. It should be the URL of the default wishlist. Kindly change the URL. To find the default wishlist URL go to Wishlist => All Wishlists. You can follow the screenshots-

Also, We have a button to export the wishlist item. The button automatically downloads the txt file with the wishlist item title and product ID. But this functionality only works if you’ve our pro version installed.

Hello again, OOPS! I have changed the Main Nav menu ‘My Wishlist’ to = Products I Love….as per your change advised.

I then Logged Out of WP Admin.
    Opened the test URL: https://djg4friends.com/val/category/for-sale/
    Selected the item: ‘Surf’s Up’
Then went to view : My Wishlist – “ERROR You must be Logged in to see wishlists”

Thanks Raju, I just re-checked the test website and all working as expected, you have fixed the issue…great!

Would your Pro version allow for ‘Post Category’ selectivity?

May I pls ask – What Currency is the cost on your website: https://pickplugins.com/item/woocommerce-wishlist/#pricing?

    Thanks Dennis
