    Hello,

I would like to use this plugin in my website. Actually, the chatroom will be postionned under a video, and I would like a chat which allow interactions between people who are watching video (like a chat on zoom app or masterclass for instance).

I wonder : is the plugin pretty light or is it using a lot of bandwidth ?
In my case, I’m going to have 400-450 users (no connected, just in the chat with their name with guess status) at the same evening, at the same moment. Is it possible without any bug ?

My website will be very simple, just using wordpress with a light theme (and a frame of my video because it will be hosted on vimeo).

My hoster allows an illimited bandwidth, but I am in an mutualized offer.

    Thank you very much,

    Hello @monfort34

400-450 users may be too much for Ajax-powered chat. Have you tried running stress tests to see if your host can handle such load?

Thanks for your reply. If I take a better host (like a dedicated host), do you think is it possible ? How can I do stress tests to see it ?

Please install the chat on a single page. Then please find a software that emulates web traffic to the chat page and start the test. During the test please monitor server’s CPU. Initially set to emulate 100 users, then move to 200, 300 and 400. This will show how much your server can take.
