Wipeout and reinstall?

    Trying to get Subscribe2.6.3 to work on my wordpress 3.1 blog.

    Ghost subscribers, eliminated(friend did it)
    Unrecognized emails, deleted(I did it)
    Plugin installation, installed:subscribe2.6.3(disabling all others)(I did it), plugins installed: HELLO DOLLY, Akismet and Subscribe2-6.3
    Database, backed up(the last time it was backed up, I had the same problem and the ghost subscribers and unrecognized emails were included)(I did it)
    The blog settings were altered trying to problem solve, since the backup(me & my friend)

    The only thing we can think of is to take 3.1 out of the wordpress directory of my website and start from scratch. Many of the other post’s on my profile were to give updates of my current status. I think I was only making it worse though.

    Do I just delete the directory or should I rename it and move it to a new directory and manually install 3.1 to the new wordpress directory?

    Do I rename my bak wordpress directory to my wordpress directory being used currently?

    I probably had the answer(rename bak directory) the whole time.

    Help and your time rendering this problem would be greatly valued.
