    Hi all,

I am trying to install WordPress on an intranet server at work. The server itself is windows.

I am aware of doing local installs using WAMP and such, but I am not sure how to approach this with a dedicated intranet server?

Will I need to install WAMP directly on the server itself so that all network computers can access it? Or can I install wamp in the root directory file of the intranet externally without physically accessing the server? Will this work?

I have done a bit of research and came across this: https://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx but after installing, it won’t allow me install directly in the server’s root folder, instead, it installs on my local machine.

I am not too knowledgeable about most backend stuff and IT, but I would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction on how to accomplish this so that every company computer can access the new wordpress site on the intranet.

    Thanks
