WINDOWS server IIRF WordPress rewrite URL for permalinks total Newbie !

  • I am running WordPress on a Windows server/ Apache and just got IIRF installed in order to be able to create pretty permalinks for my WordPress blog.
    I read that the famous .htaccess file is useless in my case, this is why this IIRF was installed.

    My blog is reachable at the following adress: https://www.mysite.com/myblog
    I need now to make the necessary steps to be able to modify my permalinks.
    I am totally new with IIRF and quite new to CMS. So, here is my problem / question:

    I need the change URLs only for “myblog” ONLY and not on my website.

    Does anybody is in a similar case as mine ?
    What do I have to do then ? I don’t know where to start.

  • Well. IIRF is for IIS. If you are using the Apache, you should have use the .htaccess syntax. the IIRF is irrelevant.
