Windows Live Writer & WP 2.6

    Hi. I’ve searched the posts for problems relating to WLW and WP 2.6 and although I have found others having problems, I haven’t been able to pinpoint a solution. So I hope it’s OK for me to start a new thread.

    I was using WLW with WP 2.5 and it worked great. When I upgraded to WP 2.6 WLW gave me and error regarding xmlrpc.php with a 403 error. I tried deleting the blog account and re-adding it but at the adding stage, WLW tried to detect blog settings and it just hanged there forever.

    I’m just hoping that someone somewhere has a solution to this as I’ve found WLW very useful and time-saveing. Heaven forbids that I have to actually log on to WP to post ??

    Oh, forgot to say that I have “Atom Publishing Protocol” and “XML-RPC” both checked under Remote Publishing, so that is not the cause of my problem. Thanks.

    Well, the problem disappeared after I disable and re-enabled the TinyMCE Advanced plugin. Strange but at least it’s working now.

    Something in my theme is my problem but I can’t find it – pretty sure I trimmed all leading/trailing spaces ??

    argh!
