Windows Cannot Open This File

I attempted the famous 5-minutes Install.

In STEP 4, where it stated- “Open wp-config.php in your favorite text editor and fill in your database details”

How do you open this file in a text editor?

I did this, by double-clicking the re-named wp-config.php icon in ‘My Documents’ folder on my pc, hoping to configure it with my database details, Alas! I got this message: “WINDOWS CANNOT OPEN THIS FILE”
