Win, lose, or draw – Simplifying the game

    Antoine, thank you for your help so far. One more request…

    I would like to start players in our pool with a simple game of predicting which of two teams will win, or if the result will be a draw. I thought about replacing the prediction sheet ‘Score – Score’ boxes with three radio buttons (or a slider) ‘Win – Draw – Win’ so to play the game it’s one click per match.

    Do you have any advice as how to best achieve this, or any alternatives for a simple game?

    Hi,
    There is a javascript ‘hack’ on the forum that I wrote a long time ago that simplifies the sheet to a ‘pick a winner’ game. But that doesn’t have the draw option.

    Best way to proceed is to use the hooks in the plugin to overwrite the templates. But it may also need some other changes in score calculation, display of results or charts as well. Could be a lot of work if you want it to be perfect.

    Another option is to create bonus questions that you display in a separate form with the predictionform shortcode.

    I couldn’t find the hack. Can you point me in the right direction please. I want to start players on a simple game and then move to a more sophisticated version as their skills improve. ‘pick a winner’ would be a good place to start.
