• As a realtor, my wordpress site pulls home listings from an IDX database (the feed from the database where all realtors input their homes for sale) for when people do a quick search in the sidebar widget or through an advanced search, as done on this page.

A general search pulls up a page like this.

Within that general search, an individual listing page looks like this.

The IDX developer claims that the individual local home listings will be indexed by Google.

    First: is this possible?
Second: if so, will using the Yoast SEO plugin’s XML sitemap tool do the job to tell Google that I have all these pages?
Third: would it work better to help Google find these pages if I had, for instance, links in the sidebar to pre-formatted search results pages for the 3 or 4 cities I’m primarily targeting?

    Thanks for any help!

  • Granny,

We do IDX integration for realtors all over the US.

There are different IDX solutions and some play nicer with Google than others.

We put a link about real estate website seo optimization at RealtyCandy.com.

I didn’t see your sitemap from Yoast setup on your site. You may want to put a link to it on your homepage footer.

Google can index IDX pages. We have seen clients have a ton of pages indexed.
    So to answer your questions:
    1. Yes
    2. Yes
    3. Yes

    Good Luck,

    James
