• I originally installed WP in a directory:
    foo.com/bar
    All works fine.
    I configured a redirect from bar.com to foo.com/bar
and changed the settings in WP for the blog address to be bar.com, but that doesn’t work as it goes to bar.com/bar, which doesn’t exist.

The reason I’m trying for such a complex solution is I have no access to DNS setting on foo.com, and bar.com is parked – i.e. no hosting there. I see no point in buying more hosting – since I have some on foo.com

Can I make that work somehow?

  • 1. A WP installed at example.com/wordpress can be displayed at example.com using this:
    Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

    2. I doubt you will ever make it work with a parked/redirected domain. WP hates any kind of redirect tricks.

Thanks, I read that before and didn’t think to apply that for my problem, I guess it’s past midnight and that’s why…

However as you say in #2 it still won’t help ??
