Will WordPress suite our requirements
-
Hi,
We are about to start developing a website and not having used WordPress before wondered if the system will suite our requirements:Client/Administrator can:?
1) Post/edit/delete blog articles
?2) Update gallery with comments
?3) Add/edit glossary contents?
4) Update the biography page?
5) Post/edit/delete articles in the professional section blogUsers can:?
1) Leave feedback via contact form?
2) Sign up for newsletterCan the system handle the following:
Glossary page – The only data needed to be input by the client is “Word” (or a title) and “Description”. I understand that there must be some kind of “url” field (sorry, haven’t used WordPress before). On the live site the glossary page is displayed in the following way:?List of all “Words” with an anchor link which will scroll the page to the term description.
I can see this being done quite easily with Expression Engine. What about WordPress? Can I have multiple blogs with completely different content layout? Can I have simplified form to update the glossary page?
I just want to make sure that I am not faced with issues that will restrict me from meeting the requirements.
We would have used Expression Engine, as you can have blogs with Custom Fields (for example glossary), different templates for different blogs, multiple blogs. But the client wants to try WordPress.
I would really appreciate any comments.
Thank you.
