• I have a non-wordpress website, with a generated page which shows wordpress posts from a blog(Installed in subfolder of the servers rootfolder( Through wp-blog-header.php include). https://www.evolvedtools.org/Genr82011.php I am noticing lag when page is loaded in browsers. I have set up my .htaccess file for the non-wordpress site to cache content, because naturally I want swift display of my content. However, I am hesitant to install a caching plug-in for the wordpress – blog(f.ex w3 total cache), because I simply do not know if it will have the desired effect on my non-wordpress website page above.
Is it possible, or desirable to use the server rootfolder .htaccess file for caching both wordpress + non-wordpress content ? As you can see from the webpage, quite a lot of content is generated for the scroller on the right-hand side of the webpage.
So basically, one way or the other I want to be able to cache this content effectively for end-users of the non – wordpress site. I also have other pages that will include blog-content( Increasingly so!)
The content of both the blog and the non-wordpress site is under development, so I have room for some experimenting, but I am determined to make this work somehow. Could anyone lead me in the right direction here ? What is the best way to go about this ? Any insight here would be MUCH appreciated.
