• Hi! This looks like it may be the solution for me. I have never got involved with api’s and am hoping this plugin will solve the headache! I run a website for my hometown in the UK and I have found a resource I would like to add to it, which is bus timetable, service, and route data. There appears to be api’s to do this at https://www.bus-data.dft.gov.uk/

I’m starting from almost zero knowledge of how to use api’s. I would only be able to utilise the free version. Your help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Hi Matt, the WPGetAPI plugin is designed to interact with the any API, retrieve data, and display it on your website. However, in the free version, you’ll receive raw data. To format the data, you’ll need PHP knowledge. Alternatively, you can use the paid version to convert raw data into HTML or an HTML table. For more information, you can check the documentation here: https://wpgetapi.com/docs/quick-start-guide/

It should work as https://data.bus-data.dft.gov.uk/api/v1/dataset/1299/?api_key=… is an easy way to access the API data…

    Hi Matt,

Have you utilized the wpGetAPI plugin and successfully configured your API requirements? If yes, I can proceed to close the ticket.

    Thanks,
    Ashok

Hi @adesaiudp and my apologies for not being more active on this thread. I think to use the data that I would want to select for my hometown areas, then I would need the pro version. The site this is for is a project that may become a charity, maybe it will pay for itself, but not yet. The only way I could afford the plugin would be to apply for a grant; if I were to do so, it would be a one-off. This rules out subscribing to plugins for me. If a lifetime version was available, however, then I would quote for it in a grant application.

    Hi Matt,

We don’t have lifetime licence at present.

    Thanks
    Ashok

Closing this as we haven’t received a response. We’ll assume it was resolved.
