Will this work for a scientific journal?

I’m looking to develop a site with the functionality of https://npj.uwpress.org/content/current This is for a scientific journal. We want to be able to display a short abstract of each article but require payment for the full text. Ideally, we want to be able to sell individual articles or provide access to all. Is this possible with this plugin?
