Will this scenario work?

  • I have an existing site at museum database at https://www.pamuseums.org/site/member_search.asp?page=21 which I want to port over to wordpress. Using a custom post type and taxonomy, along with this plugin, do you think this will work with your plugin? I know the sample URL has 2 input boxes, but we would be cutting that down to one search box. The sample site lets users search for either institutions or exhibits. Moving forward I would be adding a taxonmy term of museum type where it it would be insitution or exhibit. Mainly I just need to know if I can do the filtering that they currently have with the drop down boxes.

    I don’t know how you going to port over to wordpress. But this plugin only work in wp database. As long as the info (post, meta field and taxonomy)is in wp database, you are good to go.
