Will this plugin be updated?

  • Hi Aaron,
    Just discovered this great plug in but concerned it hasn’t been updated in 2 years.
    It put me off but clearly you are still providing support etc.
    Is it likely the plugin will be updated (tested) to confirm compatibility with most recent version of WP?
    Perhaps this isn’t necessary, if so forgive my innocence, but I was told not to use plugins that have not been updated in a long while.

    I can confirm the plugin is working with 4.7.1, so you should be safe to give it a go.

    I would also like to see Aaron give this plugin a little love from time to time as it does provide a much needed functionality to WordPress.

    Hi Aaron,

    i hope you are doing well? Could you please give a short answer to a question like this. I know the plugin is working as expected atm, but for some people it would be easier to decide using this plugin or not, if they would know it is developed/maintained regulary. There is already a request who’s willing to continue/adapt your work. It would be great to know.

    Just an update on this.

    I have recently communicated with the Author and he has confirmed that the a small update is on his to-do list. He also mentioned that he uses the plugin daily as well, which is a good thing as he will want to make sure that it keeps working.

    I personally have used this plugin for years with much appreciation for it.
