Will This Plugin Be Developed Any Further Soon?

    I can see that you’re very active in responding to every post here and at your blog, which is great, but for such a high interest it seems to me that it is not updated regularly enough. The last update has been almost 6 months ago and there are so many ways to further develop this great plugin and so many useful features can be added!

    I mean no offense by asking this, I know that you’re providing this plugin for free and it’s your baby after all so you can do however you please with it. But it perfectly fits for a personal project of mine and I’m really eager to see the new features and fixes working, like the syndication of attachments for example, which is crucial for me and for this plugin.

    What I need to know actually is what are you current plans and do you plan to update it with some of the new features mentioned in some near future and most importantly are you anywhere near in solving the syndication of attachments?

    Don’t mean to rush you or anything, just need to know what to do because my project has deadline and if you aren’t updating anytime soon, I may need to start looking a solution elsewhere.

    EDIT: Just noticed that you already updated to 0.8.4 on github and one of my suggestions has been added, yay! ?? But I still would like to know if you’re planning to add attachments sync anytime soon, thanks!

    I haven’t had a huge amount of time to work on it recently, I have to admit, but I have started making some changes again recently. I’m glad you spotted that the development gets checked in to GitHub, so you’ll see real-time progress there ??

    I’m currently weighing up if I should release the current GitHub version here given it now has a couple of improvements and bug fixes (scheduled posts being a key one), or try to deal with the one outstanding bug (updates not syncing) before I do. The former would keep things rolling here, while the latter would allow me to concentrate on features for the release after. I’ll make that decision tomorrow morning.

    The attachments issue seems to be quite a big kettle of fish and I guess that’s why I’ve been slow in tacking it. It is, however, an oft-requested feature so I really should put more thought into it. I will attempt to look at it as the next big feature, but I really can’t (and won’t for fear people will hold me to it) give any indication of timescale. I know that doesn’t help you much, but look at it this way: work on the plugin usually comes in waves and at the moment we’re riding the crest.

    Always good to hear from a developer to say he still cares about his baby! ?? Thanks for the thorough answer, and really hope to see all new features implemented as soon as possible. This thing can be huge if developed right!

    I have a syndication plugin. It also copies over all attachments, categories and tags.

    Also clients can manually pull posts should an error occur.
