will this ever be updated??

This is a rant… I cannot for the life of me fathom why this plugin doesn’t work. Why is is so monstrously complicated to import images along with the posts?

Or has Automattic abandoned this plugin since so many (annoying) commercial import plugins have better traction? This should even BE a plugin. Should be part of the core In My (not so) Humble Opinion.
