Hi, Will the new VideoPress software work with Elementor?

We build websites with Elementor and WordPress.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Rob,

Once you upload videos to VideoPress, you can get a direct link to the video from your media library or from WordPress.com. You can use this link to embed the video in Elementor’s Videowidget?

    Best,

@gaurav984 What if the videopress video needs to be private? Then Elementor videowidget won’t play it?

    Hi @tanelteemusk

When you install the VideoPress plugin, you can upload a test video before purchasing. I would recommend giving that a try to see how it works.

That said, we recommend using the VideoPress player. Perhaps you could use a shortcode widget with Elementor instead?

Hi, I’ve tried using the shortcode in Elementor, as far I’ve tried out didn’t get any configuration option (you have to manually enter the size and width for example). I think this plugin isn’t meant to work with Elementor at all.

This is something that is on both ours and Elementor’s radar to make happen. There is a public Github issue here: https://github.com/elementor/elementor/issues/20617
