We recommend our clients who use WordPress to install your old plugin (Insert Headers and Footers by WPBeginner) and now it appears that is no longer available in the plugin database. For the clients who currently have the old plugin installed, will you auto-replace it with this new version?

If not, when will be the last date that the old plugin will be useable? Or will the old plugin stop working when the client upgrades to the newest version of WordPress?

    Hi @jcfromroomvo,

The old plugin will automatically be updated to WPCode once you update to a version above 2.0.0.

All the previous functionality will work the same and no changes need to be made to keep the Header & Footer scripts. Also, if you wish to keep the simplified version of the plugin on your client’s sites we included a “Headers & Footers mode” option which you can activate from Settings after update. That said, I recommend trying out the new version as it adds a lot of great features and will continue to be updated.

    Hi Mircea,

Thanks for the response. Will the old plugin stop working if the client decides not to upgrade?

    Thanks,
    JC
