Will the files still be compressed after disabling the plugin

    if I decided I did not want to use the plug in any longer with the files that are currently compressed the put back to their original state or will they be left compressed moving forward without the plugin?.

    I’m sorry to hear that you will no longer be using the plugin. Anyway, whenever an image is compressed, the plugin will replace the original file with this optimized version. If you remove the plugin the images will remain compressed. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out again.
