Will removing dates from image URLs change existing image permalinks

    Hi there… Im wanting to remove dates for my image URLS. I know how to do this… but before I uncheck the box on my media settings… will unchecking this change my current image urls/permalinks? ! yikes.. worried I’ll mess something up. OR will it just change the url of uploads from this point on?

  • I think it affects new uploads, but it seems like it would mess things up for existing images. You should test it out for your self. Here is a sandbox where you can try it pretty quickly: https://wpsandbox.net/
