    Hi

Can you check the username, password, and user website url on the master site users menu.

Also on the reader site be sure that the url is correct for the master site, including http.

The error you are getting suggests to me that the url for the master site is incorrect as the reader plugin can’t find the master home page

    Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve tried checking all the values and it still gives me an error. Now I get the error that “Access denied to server. Your subscription may not be active OR your login details are incorrect.” when I try to manually pull the content.

Here is all the info I’m using:

    Main site URL: https://www.beezkneezhive.com
    Syndication/user site URL: https://www.beez-kneez.co.uk/newsite
    Username: checked and correct
    password: checked and correct
    Role: syndication sub

I’m sure I must be missing something obvious, but can you give me any more help?

    Thanks,

    Matthew

Here is the error message that I get via email:

“Problem contacting the server. Please confirm your API Username and Password are correct. Error: transport error – HTTP status code was not 200”

    Thanks,

    Matthew

    Hi

So if we are sure that all the credentials are correct on the master site and that they match with the credentials you are adding to the reader plugin the only other variable is the url you add to the reader plugin, is the url in the reader plugin pointing to the master site “https://www.beezkneezhive.com” be sure to add the https://

If so the only other thing could be the fact that the main site is using ssl and that maybe causing some sort of issue. If so i’d need to look at your setup to debug that.

If the reader url and credentials are 100% correct, you can reach out to me via my website and we can arrange for me to take a closer look if you like:

    Hi, thanks for this.

I switched the blogs around and tried to post from the unsecured site to the secured site and that works fine. I am using the plugin to copy the posts across so I don’t mind which one is the master and which one is the copy.

It might be worth you knowing that the client plugin can’t pull content from the master plugin if the master plugin is running on an SSL site.

    Thanks for your help,

    Matthew

    Hi

There can be issues with your hosting provider block access to a key wordpress file.

On the master site can you visit the following path:

    https://REPLACEWITHYOURMASTERWEBSITEDOMAIN/xmlrpc.php

if you get a 404 error then the file is being blocked and you need to ask your host to fix that
