Will load mysite.com but not mysite.com/index.php

  • A client’s current site is at, for example, mysite.com. I’ve installed wordpress, and his current site site still shows at mysite.com, as it should until the WordPress site is done. However, when I go to the WordPress version at mysite.com/index.php, it doesnt show the WordPress version their, it jumps straight to https://www.mysite.com. So, I can’t see the WordPress version to tweak it until its ready. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

  • I would suggest installing WordPress under a separate folder and working on it there. Then when done, move the files into the main root. ??
